Films are used in most industries. They are often used for physical protection of surfaces, however, the preservation of foiled contents such as food, the temporary modification of a surface or the bundling of goods can also be an application of films. It is not uncommon for adhesive tapes<\/a> to be referred to as films. In addition, many adhesive tapes also use film as a backing material.<\/p>\n

The most ubiquitous and well-known films are probably display protection films, adhesive films, which also include stretch films and cling film, and last but not least bodywork films, which are used for both lettering and for an uncomplicated, reversible color change in automobiles. Of course, in industrial use there are many other types of film, which are tailored to the individual application in terms of their composition, properties and adhesives.<\/p>\n

Adhesive foils<\/h1>\n

Adhesive films are characterized by the fact that a carrier film is equipped with an adhesive to establish the connection to a surface. The range of adhesive films also corresponds to the extremely wide field of different adhesives<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Depending on the carrier material used and the surface to which the film is to be applied, the products need to vary. For example, a film that is intended to protect against scratches on a painted surface must have different properties than a film that is intended to protect against impacts.
